Learn MoreINTRIQ is a group of university researchers, divided between 9 departments of 4 universities in Quebec: Université de Sherbrooke, de Montréal, McGill and Polytechnique Montréal. Among them are computer scientists, theoretical physicists, experimental physicists and engineers.
It is this plurality of approaches, visions and methods, all directed towards the same goal, that of mastering quantum mechanics with a view to '' use for the processing of information, which is the specificity of INTRIQ on the Quebec scene.
The members of INTRIQ manufacture unique samples in the world, measure them under extreme conditions with equipment and expertise at the cutting edge technology, inventing architectures and optimizing measurement or encoding protocols using particular properties of matter. Finally, they are developing algorithms that will make possible calculations inaccessible to conventional information processors.
The Strategic Cluster program is a key instrument for structuring research to strengthen Quebec's capacity in the areas covered by the Fonds de recherche du Québec. Strategic clusters meet the highest standards of research excellence in terms of their scientific activities, collaborations, networking, training, and the democratization of knowledge. The program thus contributes to the development and influence of Quebec through its research investments.
